I tried to make a joke there about rounding up links, and how it was like a rodeo... I'm sorry. Anyway, some links you might be interested in, by turns deliciously cool, depressing and contemplative.
I want to visit this museum in San Fransisco just to see these brilliant little bugs. [Hat tip to Gawker]
A pretty troubling article by Johann Hari that just got published in The Nation this month. He reveals some damning stuff about links between the weakness of the climate policies being supported by big environmental NGOs in the US and the funding they've been willing to accept. The piece has more important things to say about the reasons why conventional 'working from the inside' approaches aren't going to work.
Radiolab is one of my favourite radio shows, because they tell science stories that almost always have something a little bit deeper to say. Their latest podcast is about Lucy, a chimpanzee whose story has a lot to say about what the lines between species mean, what we're willing to do for research, and a more hopeful way of relating to each other. It's free to download or stream from their website.
